PARQUET GARDEN
DESCRIPTION: Lovely to look at and enjoyable to stitch. Parquet Garden combines the look of embroidered 
ribbons and formal garden paths. You will create garden trellises intertwined with ribbon flowers and leaves. The Sandstone 18-count canvas will become part of the design combining with silk/wool blends, silk ribbons, silk pearl and Flair. Stitches include trellis variations, ribbon embroidery, eyelets, and poufy French knots, among others. The original design was finished as a small purse, but with the addition of a border on the fourth size it can become a beautiful pillow or tray insert.
TECHNIQUE: Canvas embroidery, decorative canvas stitches, exposed canvas and ribbon embroidery.
